Managing Attachment Storage
Managing attachments on Codefling ensures your account remains organized and within your storage quota. Some uploads count against your quota, while others don’t. This guide will walk you through what gets stored, what doesn’t, and how to clear space when needed.
What Counts Toward Your Attachment Quota?
- General Uploads: Files uploaded to areas without dedicated file fields do count toward your quota. This includes:
- Forum posts and replies
- Support requests
- File comments
- File reviews
- File descriptions
- Dedicated Upload Fields: Files uploaded to fields specifically designed for uploads do not count toward your quota. This includes:
- Primary file uploads (e.g. plugin, prefab, or map)
- File screenshots
- Product thumbnails

Tips for Staying Within Quota:
- Clean Up Old Posts: If you’ve made older support requests or forum replies with large attachments, consider removing them if they’re no longer needed.
- Reuse When Possible: Instead of uploading the same image repeatedly, consider referencing an existing one.
- Check Periodically: Make it a habit to occasionally review your attachment usage to avoid hitting your limit unexpectedly.
